On the eve of the court
application by the CWU to seek to prevent Royal Mail recruiting
15,000 temporary agency workers to make strike action ineffective,
the TUC brokered a deal to defer further strike action pending
negotiation into the New Year. The unions attempt to
a legal challenge of Royal Mails flagrant attempt to
bust the strike by bringing in agency workers will also be
put on hold.
