Too many workers are being denied the right to take industrial action in defence of their jobs by the UK's unjust labour laws.

UK laws impose balloting obligations on trade unions that are unprecedented in Europe. They deny workers a democratic voice on how their workplaces are managed.

Politically, these laws are being challenged, not least by John McDonnell’s Private Members Bill – a Bill providing an essential opportunity to expose the weaknesses, correct the irregularities and bring UK laws closer to the requirements of international standards.

Legally, the laws are being challenged through strategic cases to the European Court of Human Rights.

Industrially unions and their members are challenging the notion that there is no alternative and fighting back against unfair cuts.

Come to the fringe and hear about the fight against unfair cuts and unjust laws.
