President: Vic Turner
Vic Turner, a former docker was one of the Pentonville Five shop stewards who were jailed in 1972. Following their arrest, a rolling series of strikes caused work stoppages until the TUC had to call for an official strike and demanded the release of the five shop stewards. As a result thousands of striking workers marched through North London to Pentonville Prison. The dockers were eventually released. Vic Turner later worked for Newham Council and was then elected as a Councillor and served for many years before being elected as Mayor. Vic Turner has been involved in the Campaign since its beginnings in March 1998.

Vice President: Tony Benn
Elected as a labour MP in 1950, Tony Benn only permanently retired from parliamentary duties in 2001. Since retirement he has devoted more time to grassroots politics and has been involved in various campaigning organisations. Tony Benn has been Vice President of the United Campaign since 1998.

Vice President: Shirley Winters
Shirley Winter was one of the 320 workers sacked in 1996 after asking for a pay increase at a Darlington Magnet Factory after a four year pay-freeze. Shirley has spoken at many trade union events and has been Vice President of the United Campaign since 1998.
